I am a registered social worker and clinical therapist and I received my master’s degree from the University of Western Ontario. My approach to treatment is tailored to the individual needs of each client, drawing primarily on cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based approaches. I prioritize the development of a safe and effective therapeutic relationship in order to facilitate lasting emotional and behavioral change. In all of my work, I am collaborative, genuine and empathic.
I have a longstanding interest and particular specialization in the treatment of eating disorders. Previously I worked as part of the team that developed and implemented the Young Adult Eating Disorders Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre, an innovative program for transitional aged youth. I have experience working in a range of private practice and community settings. I began my career providing ongoing and crisis counselling to students at the University of Western Ontario.
